 Myths:

1 - Naps help restore alertness

2 - Memory (already lost my ideas...)

3 - Sleep attacks are obvious and easy to detect

4 - Narcoleptics are alert when they are not having a sleep attack

5 - Medications cure the problems

6 - Narcoleptics are just lazy

7 - Narcoleptics fall into complete sleep

8 - Narcolepsy does not progress

    9 - Memory

Corrections:

1 - No amount of brief sleep helps, narcoleptics really need about 10 hours

2 - Narcoleptics miss most of what they hear, think, say, and do

3 - Automatic actions can be done while asleep, even talking, reading, and walking.

4 - Narcoleptics do not know what alertness is without some strong drugs

5 - No medication is made to "cure" or even 100% treat it

6 - Narcoleptics are not generally lazy, you try functioning without energy!

7 - Narcoleptics have a horrendous sleep cycle that permits limited restful sleep

    8 - Actually there is a 15 year average

9 - Narcoleptics miss most of what they hear, think, say, and do
